HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR

gōng   cái

I have hardly had a chance to recover from the Christmas celebrations and the family are already discussing plans for a dinner to celebrate Chinese New Year which falls on the 5th of February this year.

As usual, my family will be expecting me to recreate the array of dishes for Chinese New Year that I remember enjoying as a child growing up in Singapore. An arduous task for my mother, it required hours of preparation including pounding the myriad of ingredients required for a traditional Nonya banquet. Thankfully I can take the easier option of using my ready-made Nonya Secrets sauces to create these dishes.

My menu for this rather special occasion is posted on the website as well as recipes showing you how you can recreate this Chinese New Year dinner at home using my sauces.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be hosting tasting sessions in some of our stockists, as well as putting on Supper Club events.  Look out for the dates on social media!

To help celebrate the New Year we are offering a 15% discount on online orders, just input the promotional code CNY2019 to receive your discount.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your custom and wish you a very happy and prosperous year

Best Wishes

  1. Hi Maureen,
I’ve introduced many people over the past 15 months or so, since discovering your sauces, to your products and am pleased to tell you that they have been enthusiastically taken up by everyone. So keep on producing more flavours!
    Best wishes,
    Geoffrey

  2. Hi Maureen!

I introduced my Gran to your sauces last year and she absolutely loves them (as do I), particularly the Rendang.

    All the best.
